Nets now open for paid up members

Springtime greetings to you all.

The club are very excited to share that nets will be opening up for club members following the current covid protocols. For details on how to join for 2021 please see all the membership information HERE. A membership form is also attached at the bottom of this article for your convenience.

Nets will again be administered via the skedda booking app. If you have already paid your membership via bank transfer you should be able to book already. Once you have paid your membership please let Kevin Thompson, Tom Foreman or the swindoncricketclub@gmail.com email know and we shall update your existing profile with a tag to open slots up for you at https://swindoncc.skedda.com

We are working through volunteers for opening and closing the site and shall update and increase the number of slots accordingly. This will hopefully include the Easter weekend/ half term so keep checking for available slots.

In order to use the nets in a safe manner we please ask that you read and stick to the following net etiquette and SCC rules linked to Public Heath England, ECB guidelines and our own risk assessment (which may be updated as the PHE covid roadmap changes).

  • You cannot turn up to the site if there are any signs of Covid-19 symptoms within your household or anyone has been told they need to self-isolate within your household
  • You must update each booking with the names of everyone coming to site to enable swift track and trace
  • Only 3 people can net in any lane. This is due to the space we have available to maintain safe play
  • Parents bringing juniors cannot watch from inside the nets and must practice social distancing
  • No food is allowed
  • 1 drinks bottle per person which must exit with you
  • Nets are for the enjoyment of club members and all players participating should be members
  • Arrive on site no more than 5 mins before your booking
  • If you have the NHS App please scan the QR code on gate or nets
  • Wait until the group ahead of you have exited the nets and are in their vehicle before getting out of yours
  • Nets are a 60 minute slot comprised of:
  • 50 minute for an enjoyable net
  • 10 minutes for sanitation and prompt exit / change over

If you or your child intends to train and play it is essential you download the Pitchero app (https://www.pitchero.com/club-app) and register as an SCC player/member. This will assist us in our legal obligation to track who is coming to the site so please do take the time to use this to manage availability and attendance. It’s dead easy.

We are going to be providing details of senior and junior group training evenings, any new procedures and more exciting things like upcoming events and club news very soon. Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels.

Happy netting,
SCC Committee
