Following Fridays club article regarding Swindon CC youth team success, a number of members from the club, including the Chairman Tom, volunteers, youth players and parents attended the Wiltshire Cricket Annual Awards evening.

The evening takes place to celebrate County and District performances, District competition winners and County winners of NatWest Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCAs). The club is incredibly proud to report that we had representation across all of the categories:

Sarah Aubrey won an OSCA as the ‘heart beat of the club’ – a great recognition for the work she has done over a number of years now in transforming our pavilion, staging events which raise funds for the club, making teas, catering events, running the bar and more – a lot more.
Oliver Whitley won Wiltshire County boys U15 player of the season
Jacob Hobson won Wiltshire County boys U13 player of the season
Finlay Hobson won Wiltshire County boys U10 player of the season

There were also a number of performance awards for club members, including the above players and also Rhys Baker (awards for a 50+ score and a five wicket haul), Raghav Jaiswal (award for a 4 wicket haul), Daniyal Rafiq and Nathan Dickinson.

Well done to all of the above as well as the county boards, administrators, officials, coaches and parents for supporting the players. Thanks also to Wiltshire Cricket for hosting the awards night – it is always good to have achievements across the County recognised.

A reminder that we celebrate at a club level on Friday 27th September - Time TBC - YOUTH PRESENTATION NIGHT at the club. More details to follow on this, but we hope parents and young players can join us to celebrate what has been an amazing youth season. Awards will be handed out on the night.
