Firstly, can I wish a Happy New Year to all our members and I hope everyone is in good health and looking forward to 2023 and the new cricket season. I have recently taken on the role of Membership Secretary and I would like to thank Andy Wiles for his work last year.

I am pleased to announce that 2023 Memberships for Swindon Cricket Club are now open and again payments should be made using the Pitchero app/website (which has the choices of either making a one-off payment or splitting costs over 3 payments). Fees for memberships are currently being held at 2022 levels, although for senior memberships fees will increase to the new 2023 rates after April 28th 2023.The club would appreciate if memberships are paid promptly following issue of this message, which will aid us given the substantial outgoings at this time of year.

Membership of the club is a necessity for any player or person using the club on a regular basis, with benefits including use of our wonderful facilities, coach led training sessions and access to our bar to name a few. The need for membership reflects that we are a members’ club, run by members, for members and is part of our constitution.

As mentioned above, fees as well as membership details will be collected digitally through our Pitchero website and app. This reduces volunteer admin and ensures a clear record of those who are members.

Please note that club memberships only go a small way towards the running costs of the club, which include: ground fees, utilities, equipment, league memberships, insurances, balls, ground preparation, coach development, safeguarding etc. As ever we are indebted to our sponsors, particularly our long term main sponsor Coe Capital Wealth Management, who help us to continue to push the club forward.

To pay membership fees via the Pitchero app – go to ‘SHOP’ from the main menu, select the applicable option and follow the instructions which take you through to payment options. There is the option to split fees across 3 payments.

Please note that where a family has two or more junior members a 10% sibling discount only applies to the second and subsequent members – for example
Junior member 1= £95.00 then
Junior member 2 = £85.50 or Girl member 2 = £36.00

Please note a person shall only be considered a member on receipt of payment and registering of all required details on Pitchero (or confirmation that all details remain the same as 2022).
