George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr are two of the UK’s very best professional boxers and the World Boxing Super Series has pitted them against each other. It is set to be the early highlight of the year.

Groves is the reigning WBA super-middleweight champion and will put the belt on the line for a second time.

He held his first defence at Wembley Arena in the quarter-final of the WBSS, an eight-man knockout tournament with a final scheduled for the summer, in which he knocked out Jamie Cox in the fourth round.

Eubank Jr meanwhile needed one round fewer to dispatch Avni Yildrim in Germany to record his 26th career win.

The winner of Groves vs Eubank Jr will go through to fight for the inaugural Muhammad Ali Trophy in May against either Callum Smith or Germany’s Jurgen Brahmer.
