All you need to know

Get the game (and training) on!

With training and matches now able to go ahead under ECB/Government guidelines we can confirm group training sessions will start this week as follows:

  • First XI squad training - Tuesday 13th April (invite only)
  • All seniors training - Wednesday 14th April
All sessions are 6-8pm and will continue each Tuesday/Wednesday unless communicated otherwise.

We would like to ask all players to please take the time to read this article and the literature about rules and regulations that we are all required to follow to allow cricket to take place - this is located HERE.

Some key points to remember:

  • For training and matches before you come to site you will ensure you notify us (for test and trace purposes) by using Pitchero. Simply navigate to the training/match date and select ‘available’. This will allow our coaches to plan safe sessions, utilising our large ground, nets and portable nets as required.
  • You cannot turn up to the site if there is any sign of Covid-19 symptoms within your household and you should self-assess before attending any cricket activity.
  • Please aim to bring your own hand sanitiser to support ball and hand cleaning requirements.
  • Please turn up ‘ready to go’ and with your own food and drink as required. Water bottles should be clearly marked.
  • Club activity training nights will be under the supervision of a coach or club rep. Please follow their guidance.
  • Before, during and after social distancing should be maintained where possible.
  • Travel to/from cricket should be in your own household/bubble group only.
  • The changing rooms, pavilion and scorebox are closed until further notice.
  • The umpires room & toilet will be open and used as a unisex toilet with strict one person in and out and post use cleaning procedure.
  • Parents/guardians – unless required to stay due to coaching/supervisory/safe guarding role are encouraged to ‘drop and go’ where possible.

Players are reminded that alongside the group sessions the nets remain open to paid up members for pre-booked sessions as detailed HERE. For all the information on how to pay your membership (before the annual fee increases at the end of April), please click HERE.

We hope this is really welcome news and thank you for your support.
