A busy start to 2019

The daylight hours are now getting longer and the club committee and supporting personnel are working hard in preparation for another cricket season at SCC – but this is not just any season, as we celebrate our 175th year!

Over the season these updates will serve as a quick update of all things SCC – what has happened in the last fortnight and what is on the horizon….

During the last two weeks:
• The committee have had their first meeting of 2019, with big things planned for this year and beyond.
• 2019 Membership has been launched for all ages. The club requests members pay as soon as possible to help with a busy period of expenditure in the run up to the season. Paid up members will receive a code towards the new playing shirt. All details here: http://www.swindoncricketclub.co.uk/news/2019-memberships-are-now-due-2386276.html
• Plans continue for the 175th year celebration open to all club members and associates – old and new. An event not to be missed. You can follow updates here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1420869858058090/ Please share this event so we can spread the word.

• Admin, lots of admin! It’s a busy time of year for this. Thanks to Will Glass (Secretary) for keeping us on top of this.
• The 1st and 2nd XI began indoor training, expertly led by our club coach Wayne Pascal. Keep an eye out for open sessions.
• Kev is already prepping the ground for the upcoming season, with spiking works being undertaken amongst other activities.
• The club held its first hire event of 2019 – thanks to Sarah and Sal Aubrey for their continued work in organising these events and staffing the bar. Spread the word if you know of anyone that needs a venue for any sort of event.

Upcoming:
